INTERLUDE SERIES

MCMA’s Interlude Series is the our community outreach program, founded on the belief that great music should be present where it is most needed, not only where it is traditionally performed.

Distinct from MCMA’s main concert season, the Interlude Series brings live chamber music into hospitals, schools, senior centers, museums, and community institutions—spaces where artistic engagement can offer comfort, education, and human connection. These performances are intentionally designed to be accessible and personal, removing barriers between musicians and audiences.

Through programs that blend beloved classics, rarely heard works, and audience favorites, the Interlude Series uses chamber music as a cultural and charitable force—supporting education, promoting well-being, and affirming the essential role of the arts in public life.
